I have a 30 gallon fish tank, with an extra large penguine bio wheel filteration system (one for 50 to 100 gallon tanks) and loads of places to hides / silk and plastic plants. ATM I have two large Bala Sharks, 1 Blue Gourami (The fish that wont' die. >.<) and 2 very small oscars *less than 3 inches*. Oscars will be moved to a much bigger tank as they grow! One is an albino oscar, the other is a tiger oscar. The tiger is slightly bigger and recently came down with HIH. The Albino shows no symptoms. Was doing GREAT until last night when I saw him lulling at the bottom of the tank. He still comes up to the top to eat and swims around at me "begging" for food, but when I'm not in front of the glass, he's sulking. He has not had problems with weightloss yet, and I am vigorous with tank cycling. (Just did a 50% today) Usually do 25% water changes once a week and a 50 once every other week. I've treated with a general treatment for HIH, however I'm aware they rarely work well. I use PRIME water conditioners, and non iodized salt wuth water changes (very small amounts of salt) which perked the sick oscar up for about a week, however it just seems like he's getting worse.

His fins are normally half squished down lately, but he flares them up at feeding time. I watch the fish a lot, and the tiger does more bullying than any of my other fish, so I know he's not the one being picked on, but I'm going ot be very sad if he dies.

Any ideas on how to futher help this fish?

Oh forgot to add, he's fed Oscar Grow food and blood worms (on occassion).

I want to grow him up to be the large, beautiful oscar he's supposed to be!

my bettah had that too and they seem to not be affected by it, like they still act normal and active but I just went to my local walmart and bought reg fish medi that is for multiple problems. It worked a little, i can tell that the hih was healing but I accidently overdosed and it died. I hope your oscar gets well.
